Ted - that has got to be one of the absolute nicest looking paint jobs I've seen.  Absolutely outstanding...

Still waiting for the runway to dry out. It's ready to fly though. Made a lot of changes to it, and it appears it was worth the wait.

Ted, I finally downloaded some video to my computer and will be posting soon so you can hear what dual exhaust sounds like. I need to do some editing.

Very good. Thanks. So far I do not have any smoking rivets, although some with more hours do on the underside of the wing at the main spar. At the root where the nose skin attaches the first 12 or so rivets closest to the fuselage. keep an eye on them. The smoking is showing up around 150 hours on airframe, but may vary in timing due to loads and abuse.

Thanks for the confidence. I must admit, at 50 hours on the airframe, I pucker when I feel turbulence. Did you beef up anything on your plane to make it aerobatic?

I'd like to plan on that. In order to make some arrangements, would you just email me at larrywinger@gmail.com so we can exchange contact info and pick a date and time. Thanks. Larry

I just heard from Dave McPhee about your project. Dave and Ken Smith visited my shop last week. I'm plans building a 601XL turned 650 in my garage in Tustin. I was very impressed with your weblog and would love to take a look at your project if you're open to that. My email is larrywinger@gmail.com, and I have a cable tension meter if you're still in need of one.
