Not a correct statement :) ECU's are available to ship and always have been. We have boxes full of them. Those that are flying so far, have the same ECU as our stock, and the same as we just flew to NH with.

If you would rather have the existing ECU, and do not wish to take advantage of the updated unit being released at the end of this month, you have been free to do so 6 months ago, or today. Why are you always trying to distort the real view of Viking Aircraft Engines? Viking Aircraft Engines do nothing but support all of their builders. We are also realizing that we will never make every customer happy. So we will not try. We will focus our energy on positive and helpful customers. In fact, the term that the customer is always right, does not hold true for aviation.

We reserve the right to release products when deemed safe and with the best performance to the customer.

Did you see the nice Viking CH-750 flight we had this morning?

Hi Steve, I just returned from a trip to the Viking shop.(caused by the broken LG)

They are really trying to get parts and engines out the door as fast as they can. It looks like the problem is supply not being able to keep up with demand.

Just hang in there. I know it's tough to do when you need a part.

When you live on the cutting edge, there will be pain and suffering ;-) This happens with most new products if there is demand, time can take it's toll on the reputation of a new company, but builders have short memories once issues are resolved.

The question is really more about if you believe that Viking can make the engines faster, now when all prototyping is done. We also have a box that is going to Thailand this coming week. It has 2 ECU boxes in it. It was a tough hurdle to get this company going, in the midst of a recession. Luckily for us, the demand was stronger than what we could deliver on time. It is particular difficult to trust a relatively new company when you live so far away. The proof is real however, with…

The proof is real however, with Viking engines now flying and outperforming most everything else, at 2/3 the cost.

Five Viking engines have been waiting for something and for some long time here in Thailand also. I don't know for how long. I am not the owner of any of them, only waiting anxiously for installation and flight reports, before making decision if I would want to wait that long for my own Viking.

The decisions of holding parts back, sending out only the latest and most advanced parts, was a tough one, but the only right thing to do. We, and the rest of the light sport community, will forever be grateful to the early pioneers, that have chosen to install a Viking engine, leading the way to those that follow with pictures and information. We, and the rest of the light sport community, will forever be grateful to the early pioneers, that have chosen to install a Viking engine, leading the way to those that follow with pictures and information. We made an agreement with Mr Winn today, that we will send him his remaining parts, then just send the last remaining item next week at our expense, rather than having all the parts sit here. This will enable him to get the engine running and complete, within 2 weeks. He was able to detect a misalignment of the CH-701 mount, enabling us to get this corrected, prior to sending out more of them. The really good news is how refined the Viking production line has become, reducing these issues for the future. Also, more help will become available for customer service.

I get the impression that if something goes wrong with a Viking order, it goes very wrong, but otherwise most people do ok by it. I'm still thinking it will be the engine for me but I do worry. Good luck
