Lynn, I'm building a CH750 with a Corvair and have questions about your cowling since they are the same. What changes are you making to your cowling to improve cooling. I saw a picture of your cowling from CC #20 showing the air inlets. WW says to use a 4" PVC coupling to smooth the airflow. How long is your inlet and diameter. How did you attache the inlet to the cowling, is it split top and bottom or just attached maybe to the bottom? Is it attached with epoxy or fiberglass? The 601…

Seems like your getting it dialed in and having fun. The 230 deg. oil in the winter could signal some possible problems to come in the summer. It took me a while to get my oil temps under control on my Jabiru 3300. Until I did, I saw some 240-250 degree oil temps when climbing on very hot days. It will get your attention fast.<br />
