Finally finished with second wing except the wing tip that I hope to get to this week. Wanted to get done before July 4th but screwed up top rear skin. Ordered new sheet of aluminum (still thinking could get done in my time line) and the sheet was damaged in shipping. Re-ordered and got it a few days later. Now shock and horror I start to think about match drilling all of the holes, weird myself out, so I put it off until after the forth so I don't have to rush. Now (as we know how this works) life gets in the way and it's 2 weeks later and I spend two days match drilling and fitting new to skin only damaging two holes and having drill to A5 rivet size. I'm gold now and some of my confidence is back. Next I damage the outboard end of this new skin, so much for the regained confidence. Quick call to Caleb at Zenith and I'm good to go and I cut and splice the skin over the #6 rear rib. Now I'm somewhere in August with many projects and interruptions until I got this far about a week ago. In a couple of weeks I should be back to my normal sporadic life.
Like I say build it light, (if your not having fun why do it?)
