The TBO was increased based on the field experience of thousands of engines operating around the world in real world conditions. The crankcase casting was increased in thickness along with the TBO hours. My CH750 Rotax 912S is the first of the 2000 hr TBO Rotax 912 engines sold in Canada. Engine install next week at Can-Zac then off to the paint shop... build time 3 weeks. Got to love that CH750 kit ;>)

Here's the link to ROAN - the Rotax Owner Assistance Network.
This is a good reference for all Rotax owners.

Yes, this is expected (good) news based on our excellent experience with the Rotax 912 series engine. The cost of an engine needs to be viewed as an investment and amortized accordingly over the life of the engine.

15 years!! Doesn't the average Pilot only fly 50 hours per year? Buying a Rotax is money well spent.
