So here we are, a journey that began in 2004 with a quest to become a private pilot and in 2005 begin building an airplane. While becoming a pilot I decided on the Zenith CH601XL as the airframe because it flew nice and could be made from plans. Deciding on the Corvair as the engine was also decided around this time. Here I am 1000 pilot hours and 700 homebuilt flying hours sending out the message to keep at it.

The 700 hours have been acquired over the past 5 years, the airplanes first flight was June 30, 2012. There has been some drama in both the airframe and engine ,but over all, it has been a wonderful experience and I have met and became friends with some very interesting people.
So again I want to state to those of you who are still building, read and follow the directions and keep in mind that you are the final decision maker. Remember, better is the enemy of done. Keep your electronics grounded properly. Have fun!
