Dynon Avionics just donated over $4,000 worth of prizes for the Open Hangar Days event!

Not only one, but....

  • Two D2 Pocket Panel portable EFIS (worth $1,095 each): Dynon Pocket Panels are true artificial horizon instruments based on the same technology that drives Dynon’s Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS). This hardware is combined with an advanced flight dynamics algorithm to accurately determine aircraft true attitude without drift. A high-quality, highly sensitive GPS receiver is also built into the D2 to provide GPS ground speed, altitude, vertical speed, and ground track for enhanced flight situational awareness. The D2's are not like smartphones or tablet apps, or GPS-derived “simulated instrument panels.” Unlike those consumer devices, the D2 are dedicated avionics instruments. With a real AHRS, and designed and calibrated for in-cockpit use, you can rely on it to give you accurate flight information. It will be on and ready when you need it; it isn’t going to switch away from your altitude indicator to display a calendar reminder!

And...

  • Two $1,000 gift certificates! You can use them on any Dynon products, including the new Dynon HDX displays as shown below:

Garmin Experimental Aviation also donated a Garmin GDL 39 as a prize for the Open Hangar Days!

A Garmin Pilot coupon will be included with the GDL 39 as well so it can be used with an iPad or android tablet, if the winner doesn’t have a compatible portable Garmin product.

•             Receives subscription-free weather

•             Advanced ADS-B "dual-link" traffic with TargetTrend™ and TerminalTraffic™ technology

•             GDL 39 3D adds attitude and SVX™ in Garmin Pilot™ and aera 796/795

•             Wireless Bluetooth® connectivity with iPad® or aera 796/795

•             Built-in WAAS GPS receiver
