OSH 2012

Flew from Brodhead Sunday to OSH. Left C37 in light rain with wet tent, take off roll was a little longer but up she went and we were out of the rain in minutes and clear sailing to OSH.

Landed and parked with 54 flight hours since June 30th. Everything is going to plan. Flew 6500' yesterday from home to Poplar Grove and averaged 4.3 gph burning 93 octane auto fuel.

I have a video of you taking off from Brodhead, but I am still on vacation and computer access is very limited.  I may get to posting it next week.

Ron, it sure was nice to see you and your XL at Brodhead.  The excitement leading up to that made me feel like a little kid on Christmas.  I can just imagine what it must have been like for you!

Made it home to 57D on Friday July, 27th after 6.1 flying hours for the trip. I have a new Indian Name now "Dances With Storms". It was a long day going around and staying put at times but over all a great experience.

The route was OSH, UGN, KPPO, JYM, JXN, Y47, 57D. Waited for weather at KPPO, JYM, and Y47 and landed at 57D minutes before dark.
