I heard a rumour that Zenair was going to release plans / kits for wheel skis to fit the CH701 & CH750 model aircraft. I thought it would be a wonderful early Christmas present (project) for the model owners from Zenith (Chris Hientz).
O.K. I will admit to starting the rumour ! I saw a wonderful looking set on a CH701 owned by Rob Nelson on the completions section of the Zenair web site. Winter comes early here in Canada and wheel skis would be a ray of sunshine in my part of the Zenith world.

I have a zenith 701 design, straight ski plan, available for anyone for $35 plus post, these I have now tested for 9 years under all snow conditions, and work very well , apx 500 ldgs. and still going strong, they could be modified for penetration use  , as built apx. cost complete $500, and 2 days work...BOB

I have made the comment before to Zenith. My Challenger ultralight had at least 3 after market manufacturers of skis (Turbulence Aviation / Datum / etc? ) in the straight, wheel penetration, or retractable models available. Some are available as a kit or built similar to what Zenith does with the floats product line. Its another accessory that enhances the aircraft ownership / flying experience. One of the reasons I built a Zenith aircraft is the design engineering was already done on my behalf, and amphib floats were a part of the whole package. Making skis, both straight and at least a wheel penetration model for owners flying out of paved runway / hangars should be available as a kit or at least approved designed plans. The CH701 / CH750 / CH801 series aircraft are flown all year round "off road" and that involves snow & ice in my part of the world.

I would like a set of ski plans! Or a kit!

Actually Zenith could go further than the plans option and offer a "kit" ready to assemble like the floats they build.
The builder gets quality parts and an enjoyable project to complete while he waits for the lakes to freeze solid and the snows of winter to arrive.

I would certainly buy a set of complete ski plans for up to say $200. i'd also be interested in plans for a belly pod.

Bob nice rumor!

I just bet Zeinith or one of thier partners might see a business opportunity in supplying plans or even a kit if there is sufficient demand. It does cost them time and money to develop and test so there would have to be enoughs demand to cover the development and more...
