Another possible solution to help with crossing of elevator cables and reduce heavy right stick pressure.

There are a lot of great ideas from other builders and I learn a lot from prior posts. Just passing along how I solved the cable issue for others to consider. It worked for me but each can judge if it’s in their best interest. Posted for entertaining purchases only. “Keep the attorneys away” lol. Like others I realized I i needed to cut the bellcrank off the aileron tube. Before doing so I market where the factory location is for the pivot on the elevator arm /brackets under the center tunnel area. (Sorry I don’t have that part no handy). After cutting he bellcrank off I realized that if the part was rotated around 90 degrees that the bottom or cut of location was almost exactly in plane with the back of the vertical back section of the baggage area. I fabricated a heavy gauge aluminum plate in which the bellcrank was attached with l angle and then added additional supports to all attachments points. As a secondary securement point I ran a threaded rod through the bellcrank pivot arm and out the sides of the center tunnel -again beefing up this section for support. The end result is very sturdy with no movement from the stick deflection and the stick is very smooth in all directions. I would be happy to share more to anyone interested and hopefully this idea may help someone else who is on the fence as to the different ways to improve this system. Cheers

Most of us are always interested in how others are doing things. It is EXPERIMENTAL aviation by the way.  I am definitely going to attempt some sort of decoupling of the aileron/elevator bell-cranks so I am interested in seeing pics of how you did yours.

I am at the point of doing this mod. Your approach sounds good.

Thanks
