Main and Center Spar Layout, Alignment and Drilling

I finally drill out the holes to final size for attaching the main and center spars together.

The video below describes the process I went through. Hopefully other scratch builders

750´s stabilizer spars

Hi folks,

I´m about to bend the H-tail feather spars to my plans built 750. The manual gives me a dl for the stabilzer front spar blank of 141mm while the flanges are 20mm and web 107mm. The next time I tried, I had the web + flanges -2mm compensation for the bend radii (107+(2x20)-2=145 dl) now I am 1mm on the plus side on the web. All…

Adventures In Riveting

I had a few people ask me why I thought solid rivet bucking was easy. I have to admit that I was fortunate to be taught how to drive rivets in A&P school a fair number of years ago, but the skill could be easily picked up by anyone mechanically inclined. I had the opportunity to make many mistakes before getting it right. I have not riveted much since then so there was a little bit of refresher needed. If you have access to the EAA web site, there is a Tony Bingelis article about rivet… Continue
