701 trim tab function

On my 701 I always have alot of nose up trim to neutrilize the stick.In the pictures of the plane in flight the elevator apears to be level on the top.I could put a simple indicator in the cockpit to…Continue

Turbine Zenith 701 flew over 1200 miles

The Turbine Zenith 701 (742DE) flew over 1200 miles at 300’ over Lake Livingston last week in an attempt to locate a lost fisherman. We unfortunately did not save a life this time but I was sure impressed with the utility of the 701 to perform this type of search. It was gratifying to be able to help and I would recommend that all of you that have 701/750 consider letting local law enforcement know if you have time to volunteer.

They're accepting offers and if you bought the lot you could probably get them for about a quarter of their worth. Plus, they're in fort worth.--ben

- The 701 is in my opinion one of the best airplanes in the world at doing the job it was designed for.It is designed for the masses and is safe in almost anyone's hands. My intentions for this project was not to improve or redesign this wonderful airplane. I have a fabrication company and have all kinds of wonderful equipment and the skill to use it. I have long had a fascination with the 701 and wanted to find out what it might be like if it were built in a mil-spec manner with a turbine power plant. I have no intention of producing any more 701. My next project is a flying boat like you have not yet seen. We will be flight testing this 701 this spring and hope to take the other 2 on amphib floats to Oshkosh in 2011 It looks like we will be right at 600lbs
