Hello Richard,

I also own a CH200 which I'm getting ready to fly again. The canopy has cracked and needs to be replaced. Can you tell me the dimensions from your plans. The successor company to Todd's Canopies offers canopies for the 250 and 300 and I'm trying to find our if the size is the same for the 200. I appreciate any advice you can provide. Bill

Hi Richard,

Received in good order the folder yesterday.  Amazed that it took so long!  However it is now here and i am very appreciative.  Maybe I can return the favor some day.

Cheers,

Jock Anderson

Thanks for that Rich, I appreciate it.  I will certainly call the next time that I am in Tulsa!  Let me know too if there is anything that I can do for you.  The Zenith is a great little airplane.

Kind regards,

Jock Anderson

Richard,

Thanks for your note. I've been flying the Zenith 250 for seven years, and I find it an honest airplane with decent performance. Mine has 150 hp Lycoming, full fairings and some mods from the plans, such as sidewall mounted throttle. I don't know if you have flown yours yet but will offer some comment.

I normally carry a bit of power into the flare for landing, and when assured of the runway, start easing the power back and continuing the flare. I am usually rewarded with a smooth touchdown, then keep easing the stick back to keep the nosewheel off the pavement as long as possible. I have a nose wheel lock on mine, which I leave locked for all takeoff and landing operations, and all but close quarter taxi work. I would describe the flight characteristics as similar to a Cherokee 180/235 (short wing), with similar performance numbers.

If I can assist in any way, please let me know. Thanks...

John
