CH-701 Modification to cockpit roof.

Posted on August 3, 2013 at 9:46pm 5 Comments

I have read that there is a modification to the CH750 that replaces the flat plexiglas between the wing roots with an airfoil shape that is suppose to reduce drag and turbulance, and even increase lift.   Does anyone know if there is such a mod for the 701?

CH-701 Elevator Confusion

Posted on June 18, 2013 at 9:54pm 4 Comments

Plans indicate the trailing edge beveled edge on the top of the elevator pointing 15 degrees up, causing a permanent down trim.

The instructions indicate in two separate places, the beveled trailing edge should be on the bottom of the elevator creating a flat and  neutral lift trailing edge.

My question is:  which is the correct?

Ari Hulkkonen has a few photos of his plane after the roof mod. Look them up at his page.
