Over Voltage Module

EarthX requires we install an automatic over-voltage protection (crowbar) for alternator type charging systems.  According to EarthX, "In the event of a charging system failure where the voltage increases to above 15.5V, the resistance to charging current increases, and above 16V the charging current is completely blocked. The time delay for this feature is 1 second to allow the aircraft alternator’s over voltage protection (crowbar circuit) to activate first. This design offers charge voltage…See More

What Adhesive for Bonding Windshield Trim to Windshield

The builders guide shows using a 3M Super Strength Adhesive to bond the rubber windshield trim to the windshield.  When I google 3M Super Strength Adhesive, all that showed up is 3M Super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive.  I purchased the 3M Super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive from a local supplier and found that while it does bond to the windshield, it does not bond to the rubber windshield trim.  I'm now looking at using Seal-All but concerned with reaction it may have with the windshield…See More

I'm retired Navy, submarines. My son is a young commercial pilot, still in college. He's an instructor at Elmendorf Aero Club Flight Training School. We're building kit together. While sons in school and working, I'm tinkering with build, which explains the numerous screw-ups. We've installed a Viking 130 engine.

Loren,

Thanks for asking.  I was spending FAR too much time on FB and getting into too many debates and getting so many differing opinions that I was getting more confused rather than less. Suspended my account temporarily to allow the dust to settle.  Im working out the instrument panel....have one of the mounts and a mini I just bought on Ebay to play around with. My fundamental question remains O-200's are plentiful, as are parts, and as a builder, can do my own overhaul....those extra 50 or so pounds seem to be the issue.

Yes, I noticed it too watching that picture that I made this mistake, not fitting the Nose Skin to the top Rudder Tip. That night I was looking forward to finish it, and this is the result. About the overlapping skins, some builder put the rear over the front and some vice versa. In the Homebult Help Videos they do as I did.
