The electrical post w/white plastic insulator on one of our VDO fuel tank senders pivots, and the other does not.  We did not notice this movement before, and there was no leakage during our static…Continue

Upper Forward Wing Strut

Getting ready to mount wings, we now find that the rivet we were required to install on the Front Upper Strut Fitting (75W2-5) and Doubler (75W7-1) interferes with installation of the Front Upper…Continue

Mounting H3R Aviation Model A344T Fire Extinguisher in a 750

Any suggestions on good placement/mount of a fire extinguisher in a 750?  With the mount it came with, we're thinking that up against the pilot seat base may be our best location, but curious if…Continue

VDO Fuel Tank Electrical Post

The electrical post w/white plastic insulator on one of our VDO fuel tank senders pivots, and the other does not.  We did not notice this movement before, and there was no leakage during our static leak test 18 months ago.  Now that the wings are installed and we're getting ready to fill the tanks, we checked the electrical connections and noticed this movement.  Since we do not know how the center post of the VDO is constructed, we do not know if this is a problem.  Don't want to replace…See More

Upper Forward Wing Strut

Getting ready to mount wings, we now find that the rivet we were required to install on the Front Upper Strut Fitting (75W2-5) and Doubler (75W7-1) interferes with installation of the Front Upper Strut Fitting (75W8-2).  We drilled and riveted exactly as shown in the drawings, but now find the rivet is not only unnecessary, but it interferes.   Our options seem to be:1. notch the strut fitting on both sides to fit around the rivet,2. replace the rivet with a flush rivet and only notch the…See More

Over Voltage Module

EarthX requires we install an automatic over-voltage protection (crowbar) for alternator type charging systems.  According to EarthX, "In the event of a charging system failure where the voltage increases to above 15.5V, the resistance to charging current increases, and above 16V the charging current is completely blocked. The time delay for this feature is 1 second to allow the aircraft alternator’s over voltage protection (crowbar circuit) to activate first. This design offers charge voltage…See More

What Adhesive for Bonding Windshield Trim to Windshield

The builders guide shows using a 3M Super Strength Adhesive to bond the rubber windshield trim to the windshield.  When I google 3M Super Strength Adhesive, all that showed up is 3M Super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive.  I purchased the 3M Super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive from a local supplier and found that while it does bond to the windshield, it does not bond to the rubber windshield trim.  I'm now looking at using Seal-All but concerned with reaction it may have with the windshield…See More
