Scotchbrite deburring wheels

Good evening everyone....As I progress to cutting out my larger parts from aluminum sheet, I've read a ton of information about deburring the edges.Other than the $107CAD 3M wheels offered by Aircraft Spruce, does anyone have a cheaper source or perhaps cheaper alternative that does the same thing?I see tons of cheaper Silicon Carbide type deburring wheels available, but I've yet to find any information on whether SC is an acceptable abrasive to use on 6061T6 aluminum.  Everything I've been…See More

Good afternoon or morning or evening depending on where you are and when you read this :)I'm thick into making my form blocks for my 750 STOL.  Trying to decide the order of operations and when making the final shape.I've rough cut the shape of the forms from 3/4" plywood.Should I router the 1/8" roundoff edges first, then sand the edges for "spingback" angles?Or, should I sand the springback angle edges then router the 1/8" roundoff edges?I'm thinking the first option makes the most sense as…See More

Hi Jason,

Don't know yet IF I will move  the attach point outward... I know it has been done WITHOUT moving those around. I just want a LONGER wing for a lighter kg/foot2. The guys at STOLSPEED have done it and they did not move those, so for me, I would rather not move them. Still debating...

Regards,

Norm
