Building and Flying Info / Your Profession / Other Background Info
Very interested in building and flying the CH 601 HD. I recently purchased a Ch 601 HDS airframe kit from an individual who had lost interest. Although it is designated an HDS tail dragger model I plan on making it a longer winged HD tricylce gear model. In doing so, I believe it will be LSA eligible due to its lowered stall speed. For increased safety, I also plan on omitting the fuslage header tank and installing leading edge tanks as well as adding auxiliary tanks instead of wing lockers for extended long range flying. Currently I am a student pilot working on getting a Sport Pilot Certificate. I work in the Transport Refrigeration field and am a Certified Diesel Technician On Kubota engines.
