Main fuel pump leak

We have had a small leak coming from the copper ring on the pump that seals the screw in nipple. We have tightened the nut to little effect. We added some Permatex P14 around the copper ring and that helped but still had a small leak. Called Ray and he suggested using a propane torch and annealing the copper ring which we will try. The Aux pump is fine and does not leak. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem with these pumps?See More

Dynon Skyview and fuel flow

Has anyone with the "new" red ECU foregone the red cubes and hooked up the Dynon Skyview for fuel flow calculations? As I understand it the Skyview does not have the ability for duty cycle as a fuel flow input. There are two wires from the grey sleeve in the ECU loom for fuel consumption, a white/blue which outputs is a duty cycle (no good) and a white/red which outputs 48l/hr or 170 pulses/sec. I assume the white/red wire is correct. That wire should go to P14 on the EMS? Has anyone with a UL…See More

Unpacking the 350i

I have been building my Cruzer in the garage for the last 2 yrs. Finally, two weeks ago I moved it to the hangar to install the engine and wings. I picked up the engine at Zenith after Oshkosh in July. It has been stored in my garage for 6 mos and now ready to hang. On opening the box I discovered a bit of surface rust on the case and fins. This is a stupid question, I know, but what is the best way of removing it? Did others see any rust on their engines after some storage? I live in Houston…See More
