This picture shows the main gear extended. The tire (15X6.00-5), rim & disc brake assembly is not installed to give room to fit gear assembly. Installation of hydraulic cylinder requires cutting a tri-angle hole in the float top skin for gear arm to protrude through. To locate this hole you need to assemble gear.

Mark I never really tracked the hours. I ordered a "pre-drilled" (like my CH750 kit) kit and as a result the assembly was a fairly quick and error free process. There was a few times when I got all messed up with the 3M Marine Adheasive Sealant between the aluminum skins you rivet together and thought I made a mistake. 3M has the consistancy of tooth paste and the sticky of contact cement... only Acetone cuts it (and your hide / skin)... a few times I thought I should have ordered the built floats, then again you would still have to install the gear system yourself anyway. Its fun to be back in the garage building after having finished the CH750 2 yrs ago.

Ahhhh SWEET...how many hours into the float build Bob?  I'm looking at the same thing once I get mine ready to fly.  Any issues?
