The pilot side ski/wheel landing configuration is easy to see...the passenger side (right side) not so much without loosening seatbelt straps and leaning across the cockpit. The mirror eliminates inflight gymnastics and allows me to also see the nose gear as well. Should work as well for the amphib floats.

Bob, I'll have to tweak it a bit or move it slightly to make it work for floats...though I have a small convex mirror on the left float to see the right side float nosegear, I always wanted a larger mirror on the right side to more easily view that nosegear position.  In total, I have three ways to verify gear position: lights from the pressure switches on the gear position circuits, mechanical position indicators for each wheel, and the mirrors to visually verify the gear position for type landing.

Good job. KISS principal gear indicator.

I’d be interested to see how you mounted it up. Also where did you source your mirror?
