We are ready for the FAA's National Kit Evaluation Team (NKET) to evaluate and determine that our CH 650 B kit, as produced by Zenith Aircraft Company, meets the intent of the "51% rule" and to allow an amateur-builder to register the plane as an "amateur-built - Experimental" aircraft (meeting the "major portion" requirement of Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations part 21, Certification Procedures for Products and Parts, § 21.191(g).

I'm kind of glad that I'm building with component kits - that's a lot of parts to keep track of!

Hope it all goes well w/ the kit reviewers, and stay safe out there!

Hopefully, the FAA crew you get will be knowledgeable and fair. Once in a while, I run across FAA people who know the book, but not necessarily what it means.

You chaps really know how make people drool...however, based on your recent experiences, please keep the hangar door closed, one strong wind and you will have a lot of clearing up to do.  A beautiful layout, well done!

You can show people from this above to this in the tarmac behind you.

Last year the FAA evaluated and determined that the STOL CH 750 kit, as produced by Zenith, met the intent of the "51% rule."   See my photos and video clip from last year's inspection.
