OK. Thanks. What Horsepower do you think it is producing and with what size prop? I am assuming this is a direct drive and not using a gear reduction?
Hy Bryan,
The engine vw 2.3 is with 90 hours of use. It was prepared in home by traditional prepares engines for use in some light airplanes and ultralights too. I'm happy with it, getting good marks and good working temperatures. Consumption is 14/15 liters of gasoline for cars per hour.
How are you getting along with that VA engine? Which supplier did you get it from and what options? How is it with keeping cool and the life of the cylinders/heads? (I inquire because I know someone building a CH701 considering using VW).
