Changed prop from fixed 2 blade Sensenich 72/44 to Warp Drive 68" 3 blade ground adjustable prop. Sensenich was 78mph at 2750 rpm. Warp drive at 12 deg turned 2300 rpm and 85mph. 10 deg gave us 2500 and 93mph. Tried 8 deg today and saw 2750 rpm and 90 mph. All testing was at 1000 feet and 50 degrees or so. Weather has been cool so really cant tell what the climb rate will be at gross in summer. Sensenich fixed 2 blade was really bad in climb at gross on hot day. Will be heading from Md to Florida for the winter in a week in couple weeks so we will do some more precise testing down there. Both props are very smooth and the sensenich comes down like a brick when you pull the power. The Warp Drives glides much better. I hear the Sensenich 3 blade ground adjustable is very nice but costs twice as much as the warp Drive. IMHO,the Warp Drive seems like a good fit for the 750 with an 0200.   We have 65 to 70 hours on the CH 750 so far and it really is a great little plane. The folks at Zenith and Canada have been great even after we stopped spending money.

Mine is very heavy. 850 pounds with the float attach fittings and the 0200. We added shoulder harness, long range tanks, large tires but tried to keep it as light as we could. Used lightweight starter, removed vacuum pump.

I have the Rotax 912. I'm indicating 75 to 80 knots at 5300 - 5350 engine rpm. I was shooting for 750 pounds, but ended up at 780 pounds. Little things add up in a hurry. I built it to fly slow, which it does very well!! 115 hours so far.

We have 55 hours on it so far. A few observations. It flies nice but very slow. 75 mph at 2600 rpm with an 0200. 70 mph at 2500 rpm. A warm day near gross feels like a one fifty Cessna. On a cool day by myself it is off in 150 ft and has a nice climb rate. Pitch control is very light, rudder is stiff and roll feels just right. Very effective flaperons and rudder. Excellent in x winds. I think it is a great single person plane but if you fly a lot with another person, I would consider the Jabiru, Rotax or maybe the Cruzer. I fly solo most of the time so it fits very nice for me. The more I fly it, the more I like it. It is almost as much fun as the cubs and champs that I have owned.

Congratulations!! Wow- -you flew the 40 hours off quickly!!  My first flight was April 27th, have almost 100 hours on it now. It continues to be great fun to fly. Wondering what your empty weight came out to? What final approach speed do you use? and are you using full flaps?

Enjoy!!

Update:

FAA signed off 8/25

9/5 had the 40 hours flown off

9/7 solo flight back to Maryland from Indiana

Hobbs turned over 50 hours today.

Still have some radio/EFIS squawks to fix here and there but flies fine.
