This was painful! It took me and my son about 3 hours. I took us about 2.5 hours to come up with a technique that would work repeatedly.

Basically the technique consisted of making sure that the rivet head was removed so that no visible stem is above the spar cap. The I used a punch and the rivet gun to drive the stem out. Lessons learned ... not all rivets come out easy... some take more patience than others. If needed drill a relief hole in the center of the rivet and then drive it out with the punch and rivet gun (just be very careful .. it is very easy to not drill straight !!!)
