must have been dreaming when i wrote my comment, in fact the take off is toward the hill on the right then circle left to gain height to exit the basin.

readying to leave our mountain strip, leaving requires a little circling to gain altitude to clear the saddle on the way out. take off at 90 degrees to aircraft heading (towards hill on the extreme left, out of shot)
