Same height and angle on bolt grips. Original cross tube attach bolts cut off and tube shortened to provide turning clearance without hitting bearing block and firewall structure. Left enough of the tube to prevent the gear dropping thru the bearing block.

Will get a chance reinstall the nose gear in the next couple of days and see what the mod brings...will post results

Talked with Loren today and he told me about your mod.  That will do it!  On mine, early on concluded that rear of rod end bearing hitting firewall was restricting travel.  Dave, BTW have 27 hrs. on my 750 now.
