To avoid the possibility of clogged vents in the fuel caps, I added a "snorkel."

Thanks, Cliff. I also flared the openings. Not sure it is required, but I've seen others built that way. Probably improves the ability to capture enough pressure to be effective.
They look like a couple of cherries with stems from a distance. Love the color! I plan to copy the "J" tubes on the caps supplied by Zenith as well as a vent tube I will install on the header tank. Ram pressure on the vents should help fuel flow some. I have not seen anyone install a vent tube "anti-siphon" tower over the center canopy yet on any CH 701. Maybe mine will be a "first". ??? I envision it shaped like a vertical "shark fin" high enough in elevation (8"+/-) to loop above the wing tanks so fuel can't siphon in normal flying attitudes. I will manage fuel drain individually or together from each wing tank and monitor wing tank levels through a sight tube gauge overhead, under the vent tube tower and a sight tube gauge on the panel like Zenith suggests for the fuselage tank.
