Mission Accomplished: Dave's "48 State Challenge"
Join us in congratulating Dave Tillema (and also William Fahey, Jan & Alissa Eggenfellner and to all those who provided fantastic support all along the way) for completing the "48 State Challenge!" A true accomplishment: Flying a homebuilt kit airplane (Zenith CH 750 Cruzer) powered by a car engine (Viking Honda conversion burning auto fuel) from Texas to Wisconsin by way of all lower 48 states! We look forward to sharing stats with you soon: Actual miles flown, hours, gallons, stops, etc.

CONGRATULATIONS Dave from down under (Australia). You are a Legend mate and together with the support from Jan & Allisa at Viking, William Fahey, and others, you have now achieved another huge Challenge and have contributed to aviation in a way you that is most meaningful to you, Viking and Zenith builders. You can now relax mate and cross that milestone off your "Bucket List". Well done my friend.

It has been fun following this adventure. Thanks for the vicarious experience. It proves the ability of a homebuilt Zenith and the Viking 130 engine combination, along with skilled piloting. Nice job Dave!! Nice job team. It gives me motivation to "get er done". My soon to be completed N750BE STOL will get there one of these days.
