No need for a whiteboard as you can do the maths on the hood ;)

The hatch looks nice, especially the lock mechanism is impressive! Besides, access to oil level check without removing the cowling is a great idea, we will have the same too.  Makes it much more convenient to check the oil level in between your flights, especially in the bush. This simple feature may be worth of an engine...

A similar access on the other side and you could probably do the pre-flight check without removing the cowling.
