Took advantage recently of a break in the weather to travel up our local Wairau river valley to its source near Lake Tennyson then back down the adjoining Awatere River Valley. This photo taken from CH701 ZK ZMX flying with my left hand as I pushed the nose down at 7500ft and tried to keep things still enough for a photo with a mildly turbulent tail wind....my excuse for the ball being out to the right!!

I started flying in 1969 with an even more basic panel and have yet to fly with a glass cockpit.  I find the GPS to be more than sufficient distraction!  The layout follows a Czech Air Works design (my kit was from CAW) which I liked and being in four parts - another CAW initiative - I can remove sections if god forbid, I am ever required to do!
