Thanks everyone for the support, I'll try to share as much flight data as I can to help your builds.

Well, I was trying to keep speed up so the climb rate wasn't being tested. I kept the power until I was 2 feet off the ground so I haven't checked the descent either. I did however feel an abundance of ponies during full power.

Congratulations Paul

How did the extra power feel? Did you start out full throttle? Do you sense a decent climb rate?

Wow  - after watching your airplane being built, its a thrill to see that beautiful machine fly!!!

I need to re rig the rudder cable due to the plane wanting to yaw right, replace the altimeter that froze at ground level and figure out a better pitot tube setup because the airspeed was bouncing when I was making a left hand turn. The engine ran great and I had no cooling issues. Those tires really smooth out the landing. the plane performed very well for first flight and I felt comfortable landing after spending time with buzz during my transition training. Remember the plane wants to drop when you chop the power, so be sure to fly close to the ground before gliding it in. Other than flight control trimming and my pitot static system needing more thought I was very impressed how it handled on such a windy first flight condition.
