Hi there
What we did was very simple:
1- removed leading edge slat
2-created a new transversal section wing bord with 3 plywood template and kept the original wing chord from the attack bord to the opposite bord (meaning that the CG was mantained
3-took an aluminium sheet and bent it into the plywood template and bonded it keeping the exact curvature
4- laminated composites layers with biaxial fabrics and resin
5- installed an internal ribs in order to bolt the new attack bord to the original wing slat aluminium bars
6- finishings at both sides of the attack bord were laminated
7-riveted the part above and below the wings
8- sanded/primer surface and final painting!
9- flight tests as commented! I am very happy so far

Forgot to say that decided to add aluminium tanks linked thru a one way valve to the original one. Actually these tanks give a double endurance!

Whoa! I thought you had the slats removed! do you have modified nose ribs or did you just wrap them up?
