Thank you for the quick reply Mr. James. I could do the work at my shop and I also  work with a pretty good tig welder, but would feel more comfortable if the engine mount was fabricated from the start for a zodiac firewall. I do not use Facebook but my wife has an account with them. I was able to see what they are doing over there and they are doing some incredible things with that Yamaha APEX engine,  just look at  what Steve Henry has been able to do. Someone once said Yamaha accidentally built an airplane engine but ended up putting it in a snowmobile.

Hopefully soon they can add a Yamaha Engine page over in our Engine Forums section. Many thanks Sir, tip of the hat.

Edward, I suggest you check the Yamaha Aircraft Conversions Facebook page and look for William Langford.  He fabricates Apex engine mounts.  However I don’t think anyone’s done a 650 mount yet but I could be wrong.  You could also use my design just delete the top two tubes that are 750 specific as they tie intro the top cabin frame, and widen the four firewall attach plates to accept a second bolt on the inside of it for the 650 set up. My design is partly based off the Rotax 912 bed mount used on the 650 and 750 so should be useable for either with the changes noted. Are you comfortable cutting, coping, and welding tube to make a mount?

Hello, any idea of anyone or company who might be willing to fabricate an APEX engine mount for a 650  /601HD/HDS ? An approximate price or any information would greatly be appreciated. Thanks
