Bryan: Thank you for suggestions. I uncrated boxes and smaller parts and have done inventory on these parts; all seems complete to this point; today I started Rudder and found that instruction given thru "Homebuilthelp" video which I am using as support, do not coincide with CH701 rudder, as I suppose "Homebuilthelp" is using CH601 as example to show rudder building; as you say, always look at own manual and compare.

Hey Jonathon. Congrats on starting your kit and adventure! Not much I can say about the rudder. I did NOT attend the rudder school either, so take each step slow and "read ahead" in the instructions before doing each step. And always always double check the drawings. And question the drawings if needed. Everyone on this forum is here to help, and you typically get an answer same day. So... NO RUSHING! :-) Spend a few dollars and call your local screen enclosure company and by either 2"x2" square alum. tubing (or 2.5", 3" which ever they have) to clear the clecos off your table top/work bench. Make sure it is flat. Spend an hour each day/evening and at least a day on the weekends building. I completed my entire tail kit in just under 2 months of part time work (and I scuffed, cleaned, primed everything inside).  Have FUN with it. If your not having fun... what's the point. :-P
