Hi,

I ended up cleaning with Rubbing Alcohol and worked great. I put on long enough to loosen glue and quickly washed off with WD40 then soap and water and they came out great,

Cheers,

I am having same issues and not happy with zenith at the moment as it seems to be baked on and paper coming off in small pieces. I am worried to scratch them. I tried the soap and water but that doesn't work very well at all.

Hoping an update from someone will point me in the right direction with a solution to this what would appear to be a common problem with this bubble door option.

Zenair make a great product but they dropped the ball bigtime on this one.... they need to follow up with a solution to their or should I say our problem...

This sucks. I have the same issue. Surely there are better adhesives to use. Zenith dropped the ball on this one. Somehow they have to do better. 1200 hour of build time and 50 hours of that is in removing stickers, papers and glues improperly used by the kit manufacturer.

Mark - I think your right. It was baked in. not to worry. Although it is alot of work, the window does not appear to be scratched.

WOW! That sucks!  I'm thinking the plastic was on too long and probably baked onto the plastic.  Now I'm nervous...    :(    I'll check mine tomorrow!!

The other day I decided to check the status of my bubble doors by removing a small section of the protective paper. What I found was that the paper comes off but the glue remained on the glass. I talked with Roger @ Zenith, and he suggested that I clean it off with soap and water. Thanks Roger. It is working. However I had to soak the door in water for two days. Although you cannot see it in the photo, I am still working with some stubborn areas of glue with “glue be gone” (a glue remover). The removal of most of the glue was with a deep soaking in water, followed up with allot of “oilsoap” and a clean soft cotton towel. Note: the doors were initially constructed and inspected in 2003.
