Grissom Air Reserve Base (KGUS)

Flew to Grissom Air Reserve Base in Peru, IN this past Saturday with several fellow members of our EAA chapter. What an experience landing on a 15,000 foot runway formerly used by SAC B-47 and other bombers during the cold war and now home to the largest KC-135R Stratotanker wing in the Air Force Reserve Command. Our chapter was provided with a guided tour of the Grissom Air Museum located on the field. I now have 157.7 hours on the hobbs as of this weekend.

Those runways are ridiculously long.
