One and a half years of working early in the morning before the family was up, and she's finally ready to fly (and I'm not divorced!)...
It can be done! Now what am I going to do between 5 and 7 am every morning? I guess I'll go flying!

Sweet airplane.  Are you planning on weighing it down with a paint job, or are you going to leave it shiny?

What are your plans for flight testing?  Are you current in the 601, or do you have someone selected who is, for your initial flights?

Congratulations!!!  I remember this day for N663WW so very well.  What a feeling of great pride and accomplishment it is.  For all of you still building - and two of use took nearly 3 years to finish a half-built project we bought - it is WORTH IT!  The 601 is SUCH a nice flying airplane.  You now have many happy flying memories to make - ENJOY!

I've definitely got to give a public word of thanks to William Wynn for some help he gave in the last week getting ready for this day.  A week before the DAR was to come, I discovered a design flaw in my homemade intake manifold that sent me scrambling for a cure.  I caught William by phone on his way out of the shop and purchased a stainless intake.  He ran back inside, wrapped one up and shipped it out the same day. Perfect fit, and completely solved my issue.    I would also recommend getting a copy of their flight ops manual.  It has an incredibly well written section on test flights that would benefit anyone regardless of the engine they choose.

Congratulations! That is awesome! And what a great idea for a work schedule... now that our little one has arrived maybe I will adopt that new schedule. I am up half the night anyway since she is feeding all the time!
