This will be the set up for my fuel tank pickup. It will exit the rear inboard of the tank, has a screen zip tied to the flared end of the tube.

It is pretty ridged.  It will not collapse as it is only gravity drain, but there is no support to keep it from collapsing.  If it does collapse I have a lot more to worry about then that.  There will be four tanks in all, so even if one does plug up, I will have plenty of reserve to get me on the ground.

Is the screen ridged or could it collapse  in on itself as debris plugs the filtering.
