This is what happened to the fiberglass tip cap on the pilot side float when I "lost" my skull cap spinner in flight.

"Ouch !"

I had a prop suck up and flip a stick through the bottom of a fabric wing aircraft while doing 1st test flights. I was almost physically sick to my stomach. A lost nights sleep, and that wing got an extra sea plane drain and no one ever noticed.

Roger...must be my Karma re-balancing?

what the hell Dave, you deserve better with such hard work and an amazing machine.

Luckily, the repair is a relatively easy, non-structural job.  Also luckily, the prop or airframe received no damage!

Geez sorry, David. You certainly have had your share of challenging situations lately.

Looks rough, but could have been worse. Glad for you that nothing worse came from it.
