It is extremely difficult to pull the flaps to the 2nd notch. Therefore, I fabricated a prototype of a new flap lever. The pivot point will be around the seat front wall or maybe even behind - inside the seat. We'll see if this works... Material is 2024-T3 except for the lever, which is stainless steel. The plan is to use a ball joint to connect the lever to the flap mechanism.

Great engineering and craftmanship. Wish you had this design out when I put a manual flap system in my 601XL.

Thanks, but it's really just handmade..I've got a mill but I ended up doing the sheet metal work just using a hand drill and a file.. oh the end knob and the "fork" to connect the flaperon rod were fabricated using a lathe + the mill.

Good looking workmanship (craftsmanship) on the flap lever.
