This is the approx. 5 LB Parker Hydraulics pump / oil tank installed in my CH750. Because it is "heavy" and requires solid structure to mount to it is bolted to the front seat support. The pump draws 20 amps, you want to keep the length from the motor to power source as short as possible. In this position its operation and oil level can be closely monitored by the pilot. There is no problem for the passenger to enter or exit the cockpit. If the manual hand pump is chosen it must be mounted in this position, but on the pilot side for the pilot to operate. Because the Rotax 912S on my CH750 is so light placing the pump here actually helps with my C of G loading. If you build with dual control sticks and new location for either pump would be required.

The float kit comes with either the hand pump or electric...your choice. You can order a back up pump of your choice for an additional $1000. Adding weight and complexity. The same can be said about dual sticks... I have flown both, the dual sticks in a CH601XLB or CH701 / 750 make it real awkward to get in and out of the cockpit. It also screws up the float pump install... which is why I mentioned it.

Hmmm that might be an issue for me with the dual sticks! Looks good though...are you installing the manual pump as a back up Bob?
