If hangared its about a once-a-year process to run over once with Grade C, Once with Grade S and once with the wax.
However - if travelling and left outside in the rain, you will probably want to go over it again to remove water spots.
Polished does look fantastic though! If hangared, is it a lot of work to maintain it?
Thanks Mack.
It really depends on the condition of the aluminum when you start. Mine was fairlyoxidized and scratched, therefore I did the following:
Optional passes of medium scotchbrite (depends if scratches and heavy oxidization still exist)
One pass fine scotchbrite
3 - 4 passes of Nuvite "F9"
3 - 4 passes of Nuvite "C"
2 passes of Nuvite "S"
1 pass of Nuvite wax.
There is at least one video on the EAA website on poilishing using Nuvite. I wont lie - it's a lot of work to get it looking perfect.
beautiful bird!
any tips on polishing?
Mack
Thanks Marvin. The cowl, wingtips and graphics are "wrapped" with vinyl instead of painted.
