Yes CH discusses this in his book,  but I got it from - http://www.steneaviation.com/sportsman_stol_comparison.asp?menuID=7~7... the Sportsmans Cuff!  The cuff is added to the nose and is 50mm in length!   Worked out the numbers with my CAD after much research... to be honest it sort of worked itself out!  Looking back it was not that hard to do... you just have to be patient.  The radius used is from the slat!  I started out with the full nose rib like the 750 Cruzer then added the cuff...

This looks a lot like what 'Flying on Your Own Wings' by Chris Heintz suggests as an alternative to slats.  How did you pick the radius and location of the cuff?
