Cross Country
I decided to take a break from building and take the 172 on my longest cross country and fly the family from our home base KSCX in Tn and fly down to Destin Fl, KDTS. Wow, what a flight, smoove as glass air and I used flight following all the way and that made me more at ease about traffic concerns. I averaged about 108 kts and from take off to landing was 3:20. Not bad concidering a 12 hr drive in the car. My 3 yrd old son managed to sleep over 2 hours of it! This is cool stuff. I got to over fly DTS and swing out over the ocean on my base leg and what a beautiful site!
