Anyone have a good source/part number for a FLY CUTTER for the drill press that is big enough for all lightening holes?

Timothy... I ordered my Olfa today from Amazon. Thanks!

Clint... We will be talking more soon! :-) I have a vertical/horizontal band saw, but searching Craigs for a regular full time upright.

Lee.... Zenith calls for 150 of each on their list of required tools. I have well above that in all except the black clecos. I will order them shortly.   http://www.zenithair.com/kit/tools/tool-qty.html

Hi Brian, I built my wooden flange die per the measurements given in the construction standards (cs305). I broke each die down into 5 pieces to make construction easier. Here is a link for a picture: http://www.zenith.aero/photo/imag1404?context=user

I use a cheap ($60-$80) harbor freight 6 ton bench top press to do the forming, place a piece of plate steel on top of the wooden die to protect it from damage during the forming process.

I use the large seaming tool to correct the the bend angles on channels and L's.  They don't always come off of the sheet metal brake at the exact angle.  (90, 94, 87, 110, etc).  I did some filing on my to remove some rough edges and to round the sides so it wouldn't leave marks.

RE:Seaming tool. YES... I saw that one but thought it would be too big and it was twice as much. But now after opening the package on this one it isn't very good quality. In fact I need to file or grind off the edges because there is a very big bur from manufacturing still on it. Do you use it often? I assume after you remove a piece from the form blocks. THANKS for the source on the OLFA! :-)

PC-L800 Plastic/Laminate Cutter  bought my through Amazon.  I saw them in a Home Depot in Vancouver, Canada.  But my local store doesn't have them.

harbor freight has an even wider seaming tool than the one you have shown.

Clint....

Thanks! The prop? That is a show piece ONLY off of a C152 that I bought for cheap on CL. Needs to be stripped and painted then hung on the wall. :-)

Do you have a source/part number for the OLFA? I looked at Home Depot/Lowes and several places online and couldn't find one.

Do you or anyone on this forum have plans or a sketch to make the flanging dies or it that in the plans from Zenith and what the radius/angles/etc needs to be. I understand from another response on here is that there are a total of 4 sizes.

How far along are you and what are you building?
