Hi Doug, I decided to mount the antenna back there for cosmetic reasons in the baggage area. I can't remember the length but I think I ordered about 25' of coax for the transponder and comm. I am still building and haven't tried transmitting on it yet but it should be fine.

Looks like you mounted the antenna behind the baggage back? How has it worked in that location? Do you remember about how much coax you needed? Thanks for posting.
