CH750 Elevator trim tab - plans built with folding machine
The trim tab is built with 3 folds - folding machine came in handy and did a very nice job at it. Nice not to have to run around to find the tools anymore !

Hi Brian and Damon,
The trick is to do the 2 smaller bends first (leading edge) of the trim tab. Then do the trailing edge. You won't be able to close all the bends but if you put the tab on a table and push on the top surface, you'll be able to close the gap so that the tab gets closed. I practiced with a narrow piece of aluminum cut to lenght and then did the trim tab.
It went very well and I expect you'll have no problem either.

I agree with Damon. I'm fast getting to this point. I've used the Harbor Freight bending brake for some small stuff, but haven't figured out how I'll do the large bends or the deep bends.

I am curious what you mean by folding machine. Do you mean a brake or some other kind of bending tool?
I know making the trim tab for my elevator was rather tricky for me. If there is a better way to do it I would be curious to learn more.
