This is on a plane that has not been flown yet! I had heard of this so I checked when I pulled the nose gear strut for my modification. So ended up replacing and modifying the bungee pin

Hi Brian,  there has been a couple of builders who have had slight interference of the bungee retaining pin with the nose gear tube.  This is one way to solve the situation.  The wear marks you see in the pic is on my nose gear tube which is on my plane which has never flown...just moved around the garage, driveway and a 16 mile trailer ride to the hangar.

Can you explained what happened?  Never heard of this.  Thanks.
