Old trim piece and new trim piece showing flanges. The overall trim piece is 50mm by proper length and from .025 6016 T6 material. The forward part over the windshield is 25mm then is bent 90 degress inward for 10mm and then to the rear for 15mm. The piece was then mounted to the windshield and the rearward flange was trimed to size (slightly more narrow on top to full size on bottom), Add the foam and its done and really works well.

I made the same thing for my 750 doors. It worked great albeit I have not flown yet.
