Back Country Flying
The Zenith STOL CH 701 is the ultimate bush flying machine. Here the airplane could be seen in the middle of the Northern Canadian wilderness. It was in the summer of 2012, I decided to venture in to the North and I spotted a nice landing area beside a lake. I landed. This is in the middle of nowhere and nobody has ever been there. As soon as I landed, I spotted black bear, then wolves and other wild animals. Then there were the Northern flies. I was not able to eat lunch because of the flies. Anyway, I spent the whole day there exploring all the areas. It was isolated from civilization. I did not risk staying there for overnight as I did not bring tents. So at the end of the day it was time for me to depart. The experience was one that will bring you closer to your machine. I have a plane to visit such a places in the future.

Drive S. of Cold Lake,i.e., Lloydminister - Edmonton, taking that route up 1 of 2 when driving 8,000 R.T. to Alaska. Saw black bears, but W, example, Williams Lake, but briefly, more careful of Moose on the Rd.

Hey Jack: The best fishing and hunting can often be realized with an airplane.
Not to mention the peace of mind at being far away from the trigger happy 'sportsman' who don't know a moose from another hunter dressed in orange. Have fun.
